Eagle River Blanket Yarn + Pattern Kit with optional Pillow Form

from $100.00

In southwest Colorado, pairs of bald eagles soar above the creeks and lakes as winter approaches. Bald eagles mate for life and build their nests in January. The Navajo name for February is Atsá Biyáázh, the month when baby eagles are born, and we watch the eagle parents tending to their babies.

Cuddle under the double eagle motif of this blanket to keep you warm through February and beyond.

The blanket is all double crochet in US terms. Both yarns are carried throughout the blanket so there are very few yarn tails to weave in. The little pillow uses up the leftover yarns from the blanket.

Blanket finished size: 41” by 55” (104 by 140 cm)

Optional Pillow finished size: 11” by 15” (28 by 38 cm) to fit a 12” by 16” (30.5 by 41 cm) pillow form

Two kit options: With Pillow Form and Without Pillow Form. The With Pillow Form kit includes a 12” by 16” pillow form and an extra ball of Feels Like Bliss yarn to create the little pillow.

The kit includes 4 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala yarn (100% acrylic; 590 yards/540 m per 150-gram cake)

and

8 or 9 balls of Lion Brand Feels Like Bliss bulky weight yarn (100% nylon; 109 yards/100 m per 100-gram ball) depending whether you choose the Without Pillow option (8 balls) or With Pillow option (9 balls).

and

the printed crochet pattern with color photos

with an optional a 12” by 16” pillow form to make the pillow with the remaining yarn.

Choose the Cocoa and Groot colorway or the Blush and Honeydukes colorway.

Hooks (not included): Blanket: 8 mm (US L/11) and 6.5 mm (US K/10.5) for the border. Pillow: 5 mm (US H/8)
