Sizes

This pattern includes instructions for 3 different sizes: dish towel, small blanket, and large blanket

Dish towel: about 18” by 22” (46 by 56 cm) with worsted weight cotton yarn and a 4 mm hook

Small blanket: about 36-38” by 48-52” (91-97 by 123-132 cm) with dk or worsted weight yarn and a 4 mm or 5 mm hook

Large blanket: about 45-47” by 71-74” (114-119 by 180-188 cm) with dk or worsted weight yarn a 4 mm or 5 mm hook

Crochet techniques

There are two ways to make this blanket: tapestry crochet or intarsia crochet. Choose whichever method you prefer!

In tapestry crochet, we use just two yarns, switching back and forth between them as needed, and crocheting over the color we are not using to hide it within the stitches.

In intarsia crochet, we crochet with several colors of yarn, using a separate ball of yarn for each section of color.

Yarn and Hooks

Either dk weight (light) yarn or worsted weight (medium) yarn is recommended for this pattern.

Use the hook size recommended on the yarn label.

Dish Towel

Worsted or dk weight cotton, bamboo, or linen yarn recommended

3.25 mm hook or 1-2 hook sizes smaller than recommended on the yarn label to make a thick, sturdy towel

Main Color MC yarn: 370 yards (340 m)

Contrast Color CC yarn: 186 yards (170 m)
