Tapestry Transcendence Blanket Digital Crochet Pattern PDF
Tapestry Transcendence is a fun tapestry crochet pattern inspired by the wonderful wallpaper designs of the 1960s.
This is a digital PDF download for an intermediate level pattern in US terms with written directions for each row and a chart for the pattern repeat. Requires chain, slip stitch, and double crochet stitches.
Both the main color and the contrast color of yarn are carried throughout the whole blanket in the tapestry crochet style.
You can make a smaller or larger blanket by adding or removing pattern repeats. The pattern has instructions for a baby blanket size too.
Transcendence uses two yarns, main color (MC) and contrast color (CC). MC is the colorful rainbow self-striping yarn and CC is the black background yarn. The sample blanket was made with dk weight yarn (light category 3).
You can use any yarn you like. Use the hook size recommended on the yarn label. Be aware that your blanket may be larger or smaller than the dimensions listed here if you use a different yarn or hook size.
You will need about 2,360 yards (2,158 m) of MC yarn (rainbow). The sample blanket used 4 cakes of Lion Brand Mandala Baby yarn in the Rainbow Falls colorway. 100% acrylic, 590 yards/540 m per 150-gram cake.
You will need about 2,488 yards (2,275 m) of CC yarn (black). The sample blanket used 13 balls of Hobbii Amigo yarn in Black (A12). 100% acrylic, 191.38 yards/175 m per 50 g ball.
